Senior Social
Friday, August 21, 2026 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM AFHS Cafeteria
What It Is
This is how we kick off senior year for the Class of 2027. Food, door prizes, games, and information on key dates for the year ahead, plus a chance for the seniors to be together before school starts. Senior shirts are handed out here by our parent volunteers. If you ordered a yard sign, pick it up here too.
This event is for seniors, not families. Parents help by volunteering and donating, but the Social itself is the seniors' time together.
We are really looking forward to this one. It sets the tone for the whole year.
What Your Senior Needs to Know
- Food is provided - no cost to students
- Senior shirts handed out here
- Yard signs available for pickup if ordered
- Raffle with prizes
- Spirit favors will be handed out for the first home football game that evening vs Broughton at 7pm. The theme is Patriots, so wear your red, white, and blue
We Need Your Help
The Senior Social runs on parent volunteers for food pickup, setup, serving, t-shirt and sign distribution, and cleanup. Student Council handles check-in and games.
Big Asks
- A restaurant to sponsor the food. We are feeding about 700 seniors, and a restaurant partner who could donate or discount the meal would make a huge difference. If you own or know a restaurant that might help, email [email protected].
- A photographer to capture the Social. Sign up on our SignUp Genius.
- Raffle prizes. We raffle off prizes at the Social. Gift cards are great, and so are fun prizes that are not gift cards: dorm items, earbuds, water bottles, college gear, snack baskets. The Donations page has a full list of ideas. Email [email protected].
Ways to Help
- Volunteer. Roles and time slots are on our SignUp Genius. The full list is also on the Volunteer page.
- Donate supplies. Claim an item on our donations SignUp Genius, or have it shipped from our Amazon Wish List. See the Donations page for the full list.
- Donate money. Any amount goes straight to senior events.
