Senior events cost money. The PTSA gives us a budget, but it does not cover everything. That is where you come in.
A case of water, a gift card for a raffle, ten dollars to the senior fund. It all goes straight to the events.

Buy a Yard Sign
Ordering a senior yard sign is one of the easiest ways to support the events. Your purchase helps fund Senior Social, Senior Sunrise, and Senior Sunset.$30 through August 7. $35 after that. See the Senior Signs page for pickup details.
Claim an Item to Bring
Our donations SignUp Genius lists what we still need for each event, so nothing gets doubled up. Claim an item and bring it on the day.Send Supplies Instead
Prefer to have it shipped? Our Amazon Wish List has the same kinds of items: snacks, drinks, decorations, and raffle prizes.Items ship straight to us. You do not need to coordinate anything, just order and we handle the rest.

We use them throughout the year for a variety of purposes, including raffle prizes at the Senior Social, decorating awards at the chalk event, and thank-yous for the people who help us pull off these events. Senior Social (Aug 21)
- A restaurant to sponsor the meal for about 700 seniors
- A volunteer photographer
- Water
- Individual dry drink flavor packets to stir into bottled water (a multipack of 30 is inexpensive and goes a long way, and saves us buying lemonade or Sunny D)
- Other drinks, but no canned sodas please
- Balloons and helium tank
- Centerpiece stands and table decorations
- Gift cards for the raffle, or fun raffle prizes that are not gift cards (the Raffle Prize Donations list further down this page has plenty of ideas)
- Spirit favors for the first football game. The theme is Patriots, so anything patriotic works: red, white, and blue beads, leis, bandanas, sunglasses, pom poms, temporary tattoos, face paint sticks, mini flags, glow sticks
Chalk / Parking Spot Decorating (Aug 23)
- Gift cards for decorating prizes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)
- Gift cards to thank the AFHS SRO and Apex Police officers who help with our senior events
- A volunteer photographer
Senior Parade + Sunrise (Aug 24)
- Cases of water (always welcome, we use it all year)
- Individual dry drink flavor packets to stir into bottled water (a multipack of 30 is inexpensive and goes a long way). We are keeping drinks simple this year: water and flavor packets, no juice boxes
- Donuts, muffins
- Granola bars, Pop-Tarts
- Fruit cups
- Gluten-free snack options
- A volunteer photographer
Senior Sunset (Spring 2027)

Raffle Prize Donations
We raffle off prizes at the Senior Social in August and again at Senior Sunset in the spring. Gift cards are always useful, but the prizes students get most excited about are the ones they can picture using next year. Anything on this list helps, at any price point.

Own a Restaurant or Local Business?
If you own a restaurant or a local business and want to help, please reach out. A tray of sandwiches, a stack of gift cards, a case of water. It all helps. The AFHS PTSA is a 501(c)(3) organization, and your donation may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We can provide a receipt for your records.
If you are a senior parent who owns a business, or you know someone who might want to pitch in, we would love to hear from you. There are some rules around school and PTSA sponsorships, so not everything is possible, but we are happy to talk through it.

Donations made directly to the AFHS PTSA may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The PTSA is a 501(c)(3) organization. Keep the receipt provided through Givebacks or the PTSA for your records.
