Support Senior Events
Senior events cost money. The PTSA gives the senior committee a budget, but it does not cover everything. That is where you come in.
A case of water, a gift card for a raffle, ten dollars to the senior fund. It all goes straight to the events.
Right now the biggest need is water - 30 cases, and not one has been claimed yet.
How to Help
Donate Money
Any amount helps. Your donation goes directly to funding senior events for the Class of 2027.Donate to the Senior Committee →
You can also mail a check payable to Apex Friendship High School PTSA.
Buy a Yard Sign
Ordering a senior yard sign is one of the easiest ways to support the events. Your purchase helps fund Senior Social, Senior Sunrise, and Senior Sunset.Signs are $35 now that the early-order window has closed. See the Senior Signs page for pickup details.
Claim an Item to Bring
The donations SignUp Genius lists what is still needed for each event, so nothing gets doubled up. Claim an item and bring it on the day.Send Supplies Instead
Prefer to have it shipped? The Amazon Wish List has the same kinds of items: snacks, drinks, decorations, and raffle prizes.Items ship straight to the senior committee. You do not need to coordinate anything, just order and the rest is handled.
Donate Food
If you would like to donate food for Senior Social or snacks for Senior Sunrise, email [email protected] to coordinate. The senior committee is glad to thank food donors by name, here on the hub and on the committee's social channels.Gift Cards
Gift cards are one of the most flexible things you can give. The senior committee uses them throughout the year for a variety of purposes, including raffle prizes at the Senior Social, decorating awards at the chalk event, and thank-yous for the people who help make these events happen. Any store and any amount helps.Volunteer Your Time
See the Volunteer page for specific roles at each event. Most are 1-2 hours.Thank You to the Donors
Senior events happen because families and local businesses pitch in. The donors below have given food, supplies, gift cards, services, or funds for the Class of 2027. The senior committee is grateful for every one of them.
📸 Roxane Warren, Photography Eh
Roxane Warren of Photography Eh has donated $500 toward Class of 2027 senior activities, and she is joining us at Parking Spot Chalk Decorating on August 23 to photograph the evening.
That is a remarkable gift. The $500 goes straight into the events this class gets to have, and the photos mean families can decorate with their seniors instead of trying to document it themselves. She offered both without being asked.
Say hello if you see her on August 23 - this is who to look for.
Please show her some Class of 2027 love. Take a look at her work, follow her page, and keep her in mind the next time your family needs a photographer - senior portraits, graduation parties, family sessions. She is right here in Apex. Supporting the businesses that support our seniors is the best thank-you there is.

Most Needed Right Now
Water. Lots of water. The donations list needs 30 cases and not one has been claimed yet. About 700 seniors drink a lot on an August morning, and water gets used at the Social, at Sunrise, and all year after that. If you only do one thing on this page, grab a case or two.
Everything else that is still unclaimed, as of August 7:
| Item | Still Needed |

| Cases of water | 30 - none claimed |
| Target gift cards ($10+) | 20 |
| Individual bags of chips (28 count or more) | 16 |
| Chick-fil-A gift cards ($10+) | 15 |
| Gas gift cards ($10+) | 10 |
| Bobo's Chocolate Chip Oat Bites (gluten-free) | 3 |
| Dunkin Refreshers | 3 |
| Fruit snacks | 1 |
| Decorations | 1 |
| A business or restaurant to provide lunch for the Senior Social | 1 |
| A donor for easy-to-carry breakfast items for Senior Sunrise | 1 |
Already covered - please do not re-buy
These came off the Amazon Wish List and are done: napkins, balloons (gold, silver, white, red/white/blue, the 2027 numbers, and the SENIORS letters), balloon stands, patriotic glasses, and a Starbucks gift card.
Still open on the wish list: snack boxes and variety packs, fruit snacks, drink singles, bottled water, gift cards, and Hawaiian leis and star sunglasses - which suit this year's Aloha Senior Year parade theme.
What Is Needed by Event
Current needs and open slots are on the donations SignUp Genius. The lists below give you the general picture for each event.
Senior Social (Aug 21)
- A restaurant to sponsor the meal for about 700 seniors
- A volunteer photographer - nobody has signed up yet
- Water - the single biggest need. 30 cases wanted, none claimed yet
- Individual dry drink flavor packets to stir into bottled water (a multipack of 30 is inexpensive and goes a long way, and saves buying lemonade or Sunny D)
- Other drinks, but no canned sodas please
- Balloons and helium tank
- Centerpiece stands and table decorations
- Gift cards for the raffle, or fun raffle prizes that are not gift cards (the Raffle Prize Donations list further down this page has plenty of ideas)
- Spirit favors for the first football game. The theme is Patriots, so anything patriotic works: red, white, and blue beads, leis, bandanas, sunglasses, pom poms, temporary tattoos, face paint sticks, mini flags, glow sticks
Parking Spot Chalk Decorating (Aug 23)
- Gift cards for decorating prizes (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)
- Gift cards to thank the AFHS SRO and Apex Police officers who help with senior events
Senior Parade + Sunrise (Aug 24)
- Cases of water - still the biggest gap, and used all year
- Individual dry drink flavor packets to stir into bottled water (a multipack of 30 is inexpensive and goes a long way). The senior committee is keeping drinks simple this year: water and flavor packets, no juice boxes
- Donuts, muffins
- Granola bars, Pop-Tarts
- Fruit cups
- Gluten-free snack options
- A volunteer photographer - nobody has signed up yet
Senior Sunset (Spring 2027)
- Raffle prizes (gift cards, dorm items, college gear, and everything on the Raffle Prize Donations list further down this page)
- Food and drinks
- Decorations
- Details posted closer to the event

Own a Restaurant or Local Business?
If you own a restaurant or a local business and want to help, please reach out. A tray of sandwiches, a stack of gift cards, a case of water. It all helps. What you get for helping
The senior committee does not treat donations as anonymous charity. If you contribute:
- You are named and linked on this hub, in the Thank You to the Donors section near the top of this page, where senior families are already looking for event details
- You are thanked on the committee's Instagram, which reaches Class of 2027 families directly
- You reach roughly 700 senior families in one school community, at the exact moment many of them are buying senior portraits, party supplies, catering, and graduation gifts
If you are a senior parent who owns a business, or you know someone who might want to pitch in, the senior committee would love to hear from you.
Email [email protected] to get involved.
