CollegeHound does not replace recruiting guidance. It helps families organize the academic, application, and planning side of the process.
We built this because we lived it.
CollegeHound started with our volleyball daughters. We were deep in the recruiting process and completely disorganized — losing track of which coaches we'd contacted, which forms we'd filled out, which schools met our academic requirements, and what deadlines were coming up.
We realized that searching for colleges as a student athlete is a totally different process than a regular college search. The academics still matter — but you're also evaluating programs, navigating recruiting timelines, and trying to understand where your student is a realistic fit athletically and academically. We needed a tool that handled both sides. So we built one.
Sound familiar?
The athlete recruiting process adds a whole second layer of complexity.
The chaos
- Coach emails scattered across inboxes
- Recruiting forms that all ask the same questions
- NCAA eligibility rules you have to look up every time
- No clear picture of where your student actually fits
With CollegeHound
- All your college contacts and visits in one place
- Academics, activities, and awards ready when forms ask
- Ask Scout about NCAA eligibility, recruiting timelines, and fit
- The academic half that recruiting tools don't cover
The piece recruiting tools are missing.
There are great apps for tracking stats and connecting with coaches. But none of them organize the academic and application side — the grades, test scores, activities, essays, and deadlines that every college requires. That's what CollegeHound does.
Recruiting forms, simplified
Every recruiting questionnaire asks for the same academic information — GPA, test scores, activities, awards. When it's all in your Binder, filling out those forms takes minutes instead of hours.
Scout knows the NCAA landscape
NCAA has academic eligibility requirements that vary by division. Ask Scout about eligibility rules, recruiting timelines, and what your student needs to stay on track — Scout can advise based on what's in your Binder.
Your college list, organized
Build your list of target schools, track campus visits, and dig deeper into programs that show interest. When a coach reaches out, you'll have context on the school — not a blank stare.

The bigger picture
Recruiting-specific features are coming.
Right now, CollegeHound helps you keep the academic and organizational side locked down — grades, test scores, activities, college lists, visits, and deadlines. But we're building toward more sport-specific recruiting tools because we know the athlete search is its own world.
Available now
The Binder for academics, activities, college lists, visits, deadlines, and documents. Scout AI for personalized guidance — including NCAA eligibility questions and recruiting advice. The academic foundation no recruiting app covers.
Coming soon
Sport-specific data storage, recruiting timelines, coach contact management, and tools to help your student understand where they're a realistic match — both athletically and academically.
Built with you
Early families help shape what we build. Your feedback on what athlete families actually need drives our roadmap.
How it works.
Three steps to getting organized — parents can start it, athletes can own it.
Add your student athlete
Create your family workspace and start adding what you already know — grades, activities, and test scores. Your student joins when they're ready.
Build your college list
Add schools that interest you or that reach out. Track visits, coach contacts, and what you learn about each program. Dig deeper into schools that show interest in your student.
Make a better decision
When everything is in one place — academics, recruiting contacts, visits, and deadlines — your family can see the full picture and make a confident choice.
What's in the Binder.
The academic and application side of your student athlete's college journey — organized from freshman year through signing day.

- Activities and awards — captured as they happen, ready when forms ask
- College list with visits and notes on each program

Built by sports parents who get it.
We're Shelley and Ed Psyk. CollegeHound started with our volleyball daughters' recruiting process. Between seven kids over 24 years, we've been through it all — club sports, recruiting emails, campus visits, NCAA paperwork, and the constant question: "Is this school actually a fit?" We built the tool we wish we'd had. The Binder is free forever, and the first 500 families get Plus free through May 2027.
Get the academic side organized. Focus on recruiting.
When academics, activities, and college research are all in one place, you can spend your energy where it matters — finding the right program for your student athlete.
